The new trends on the Fall 2012 runway were on full display during the month of February, parading through the tents at Lincoln Center and pounding the pavements in London, Paris and Milan. The latest and greatest trends were whimsical shapes and romantic, diaphanous fabrics, playful pastels, rich jewel tones and beautiful blacks, high slits, glam details and gilded embellishments, illusion necklines and modern lace! Many of the designs exhibited a "bridal" inspired sensibility. And the trends with some top designers seem to be blurring those lines between and across collections/between couture and bridal couture. Celebrities have even been donning glamourous bridal-inspired confections on recent red carpets! The gorgeous gowns were white-hot white-now red-carpet stand-outs, with delicate detailing, lace, embellishments, and sleeves! So have bridal trends inspired the rtw runways, or vice versa?
